Located in the Sanibel Square on Periwinkle Way, we are an outpatient physical therapy clinic, offering onsite physical therapy, occupational therapy, manual lymph drainage therapy and hand therapy with individual Pilates equipment sessions available in our Pilates Studio.  The clinic is owned and operated by lead physical therapist, Rachel Tritaik PT, CLT-LANA, a Sanibel resident with 15 years experience as a licensed physical therapist. The clinic is conveniently located at 2242 Periwinkle Way, Unit 2 (near the Sanibel Bean, between Sanibel Susan Realty and Norm Zeigler's Fly Fishing Shop, opposite the playground).  Main entrance to the clinic is from the parking-lot area for ease of accessibility. Services include physical therapy, Pilates, lymphedema, vestibular rehab, occupational therapy, hand therapy, "Wii-hab", massage, together with traditional orthopedic and neurological therapy services for conditions such as total joint replacement, post-surgical rehab, joint/muscle pain, arthritis, difficulty with balance, walking or posture, stroke, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson's disease, sports-related injury and tendon/ligament injury.  We also offer in-home therapy services for Sanibel residents unable to visit the clinic based on therapist availability.  Referrals and prescriptions for therapy can be faxed from your physician's office to (239) 395-5857.  Referral forms can also be printed from the Patient/Physician Forms tab above to bring to your physician's office.

We bill most insurances and Medicare Part B, and also provide self-pay services for Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, private Pilates equipment sessions, massage and wellness/therapy maintenance visits. Unique and valued advantages to receiving our therapy services include being treated only by a registered physical therapist or occupational therapist, and receiving quality, one-on-one care.

Rachel Tritaik PT, CLT-LANA started In-Home Therapy of Sanibel in June of 2008, in order to provide physical therapy services exclusively to Sanibel and Captiva residents, by bringing outpatient physical therapy directly to the home.    For in-home therapy, patients do not need to be "homebound" or receive concurrent nursing care as is often required for traditional home-health therapy.  The Island Therapy Center will continue this home service for Sanibel residents unable to receive services in an outpatient clinic.  Both Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy will be available for home visits by appointment.  Additionally, our occupational therapist is skilled in home/equipment/wheelchair assessment and adaptation recommendations to improve daily activities and safety in the home.
